2010 was an interesting year for me, but definitely one of the highlights was starting this TEST NEST experiment. I’ve learned so much over the course of this year and I’ve also had lots of firsts when it comes to cooking and eating as a result. I’ve also met some new friends and developed stronger relationships with a few that I’ve known for years, but never had the opportunity really to get the know them well.
As promised, here is my 2010 breakdown:
I feel good about what I was able to accomplish in year one. I’m thrilled to hear of friends connecting through my dinners for purposes of business and fun and I’m proud to say that there was never a dinner that all my diners knew each other. There have been intense, thoughtful and stimulating conversations. I feel so honored and blessed to have received such an outpouring of support from not only my testers in NYC but also friends and family from around the world. But most importantly, I’m so thankful for everyone that has stayed to help wash and dry dishes, done Costco trips with me and picked up last minute ingredients, helped me prepare, offered advice and tips, and volunteered their stellar photography skills.
Here’s to 2011!

Good metrics, Amber. Sounds like it's about time to take this show on the road! Or at least a permanent 5-6 days/wk restaurant.
I love this idea! The new Web site is gorgeous, too. I’m just sorry you started Test Nesting after we moved away. Let me know if you ever want to take the show on the road to D.C. It would be fun to catch up. xo
