Be My Valentine Test Nest

Sunday, February 20th, 2011
Ask my mom and best friends and they’ll tell you my least favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day. Last year however, I caught a little bit of the love spirit with my two hearts and chocolate dinners. They were fun and I enjoyed thinking of creative ways to incorporate hearts. So I decided that with V-day on a Monday it would be a perfect opportunity for a fun celebration of good food, friends and love – it was a fabulous evening. This menu was a popular one so I increased the number and had 9Read More....

TEST NEST for 22

Friday, August 6th, 2010
During our yearly family reunions we take turns cooking. Mother’s Day TEST NEST

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010
I have my next TEST NEST tonight so I’m really behind. May has come and gone too quickly, but my mom and I’s trip to the Netherlands has made this my favorite month of the year so far. She joined me in NYC a day before to play, so I decided to host a special Mother’s Day TEST NEST on May 8. I haven’t spent Mother’s Day with my mom since I left home for school at 18, so this was a very special treat for me and I created a very special menu. I forget to take pictures when it is not an actual TEST NEST dinner, but these were worthy recipes. Read More....

February Hearts and Chocolate – Round 1

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010
Who can resist themes around holidays? I sure can’t, so I decided to embrace love, my heart cooking gear and an irresistible ingredient called chocolate. On February 12, I had 6 wonderful dinner guests (Tim Tanner, Gabe Jones, Martha Demos, Ben Stratford, Marie Alarcon, and Kevin Shelley) join me in eating, reviewing and ringing in the Olympic Opening Ceremonies.
